I finally spent the time to wash, clay bar, re-wash, and apply two coats of wax (z-5). I used all Zaino products and the car looks good, but what a beating. It took me nearly 6 hours to complete the process and I must have sweat out at least three gallons.
Apparently, the first owner or I left a few bug splatters on the front clear bra too long because neither the clay bar or any cleaners could remove the etching. Maybe I will replace the bra eventually with a fresh one. Looks like I'll get the real bra for road trips.
I have heard that REJEX works to keep bugs from sticking. Can I just apply this to the clear bra front of the car? Will it allow bugs to clean off in a touchless wash (please spare me your opinions of automatic washes for the vette).

Yes, you can apply Rejex on your clear bra. I don't have a clear bra, but I use Zaino on my car and I use Rejex on the leading edges (nose of the car and mirrors). IMHO, bug splatter is easier to get off Rejex but I think the Zaino gives a better shine.
To answer your question.....I think if you use Rejex on the front of your car on the clear bra, using a touchless wash will get the bugs off.

The touchless car wash does the trick for me. The real deal though is to get the bug guts off the car sooner than later. Once they get dried it's much harder. I use the Turtle Wax bug and tar remover and keep a bottle of it in the cubby hole, ready for immediate use..

I find that keeping a couple of good coats of wax on your ride will make it easy to wash off the bugs.
Just make sure you wash your ride every other day if it's a daily driver like mine.
Otherwise the bugs will become a permanent part of your front end.
As far as using a Touch Free car wash...I use them all the time.
No problems.
They're better for your Vettes paint finish than hand washing.
Why?
Because hand washing leaves scratches in the paint.
When you use Touch Free car washes nothing touches your ride but water, soap and air.
No scratches.
Here's a pic of my 08 coupe just after a trip through a local Touch Free car wash.
