Remember the American kid that vandalized several cars in Singapore years ago? The punishment...caning. Yes, everyone was up in arms with the punishment, but I bet he, and anyone else he talked to after that incident, thought long and hard about ever doing that again.
OP - Hope it works out for you.
pffft!
Caned? That would only be the beginning of the punishment in my ideal world.....and "everyone" could get freagin bent.
The caning of Micheal Fay might have been worth it if Clinton would not have stepped in and asked them to be lenient on him. If it was me I would have asked them to double it!
I regularly take mine to clubs (though for each club, I've put a fair amount of effort into finding a way to keep it safe),
I expect that eventually my luck will run out, something will happen, and I'll be sharing my story of woe here, but my view is that if you can't afford to use the car for what you want, then you can't afford the car. I didn't buy it to live in fear for it, and it may be likely that I will eventually suffer consequences from this, but I'm aware of that, and in exchange I'm getting the most out of the car.
So I hope the scratch comes out ok, and good on you for driving it like you stole it! :-)
I was Cheese Burgered one night. They didn't expect me to do a 180 that fast. As I caught up with them they blew through the red light and side swiped a car. I got the arrow and stopped at the car wash on the corner to hose the mess off my windshield and watched from afar. I could see them pointing me out to the cops as I washed the car. Never got a visit. I would have loved to hear just what they were saying.
That's awesome, revenge is always nice when the crime is that personal. Hope the person they hit was ok.
Really sucks man. Sorry to hear it. Guess I have been lucky. Worst thing that happened to me is I got 'Burgerized" at the Outback Steakhouse in Bowling Green. Some chicken Sh=t smeared a whopper all over my hood and down the side of the car and then threw it down in front of the passenger door. Mayo everywhere! I was P=ssed, but it all cleaned up. I laugh about it now, but if I had caught them... bad outcome.
I read about it all the time on CF and wouldn't think it would happen to me but...........
Some FN A$$***e keyed about 14 inches on passenger door of my 08' JSB with 3000 miles. Happened Sat night at a Club. Parked by a curb. Just a jealous fella!!
Soo Pissed....went to my body shop and gonna cost about $500.00. Too deep to buff out!!
The down side of owning a Corvette is that most of us are too paranoid to park them anywhere but at home in the garage. Then again, that's true about any nice car.
