I ordered the Eibach Pro Plus Kit )(Eibach Part 38126.880. This consists of the Front Sway Bar (32mm), Rear Sway Bar (29mm) and Front/Rear Springs (2" drop). I purchased this from Tire Rack for just the sway bars as the kit was cheaper then buying just the bars from other sites. These bars are just a little larger diameter then the Z51 bars.
My question is this: Has anyone installed these springs (Eibach Part 38126.510) ? I am concerned with not only the ride height but also the stiffness and bouncing that stiff springs can produce. I would appreciate any feedback from anyone that has installed these springs or other simular springs that lowered the car. Thanks.
I didn't know Eibach made springs for us. If you find out the spring rates here's a chart for comparison.
Ok, according to the Eibach web site: Kit consists of height adjustment bolts and urethane pads (not a spring kit).
You got anti-roll bars and some lowering bolts.
If you play with the Tire Rack web site you can order the exact same kit (Pro-Plus Kit xxxx-880) for a car like the Cadillac CTS-V or the Mustang GT and watch the price go to approx $450 instead of the $300 for the C6 setup.
Well I am confused. The picture on the Tirerack web site shows springs and the description says this:
Eibach Pro-Plus kits include Eibach's Pro-Kit Spring Set and matching Anti-Roll Kit at a savings of 10% over buying components individually.
I will know in a few days if it comes with springs when the boxes show up.
The only springs Eibach makes are a coil-over shock kit for a lot more money. Go to the Eibach web site with your part number and see for yourself, I cut and pasted straight from the web site.
