Anyone running flowmasters on their C6? I have 07 mn6 coupe and it is too quiet. Would like a little muscle car noise but not too much drone when cruising. How do the flowmasters sound?

Most go WOOOOOOOMMM. I have heard some talk of drone on here from those who have them, but not real bad.

I like mine a lot. Just enough throaty and deep, but not obnoxiously loud.

keep in mind that I am still running stock manifolds and cats. without them it may be louder or drone a bit.

I have dual tip Flowmasters and they are satisfactory.....much better than stock. They were on the car when I bought it. I originally thought I would switch to Borlas but haven't done that yet and it's been eighteen months since I bought the car. Maybe I like the Flowmasters more than I'm willing to admit.

Me too ! Mine are dual tips as well.
They were also on the car when I bought it over a year ago. I liked them from day one.
I have upgraded and modded just about everything on the car , but the catbacks remain the same.

They are fine as long as you dont change your manifolds to headers and keep your stock cats on. If you change anything else the drone will kill you.

Just installed the Flowmasters.....drone is unbearable at about 1500 to 1800 rpm. I read that someone installed resonator inserts. Need a little more info on that trick. At the rate these are sounding, back to stock, looking for something else.

Had them on my 06 vert. Had to take them off after 2K mi. trip. Drone was terrible. I did like the two exhaust tips vs four.

equally divided on this topic in this particular thread. I guess you either like them a lot or you don't...a lot. Sorry, I didnt. I ended up taking them off and giving them to a friend. While they sounded great on start-up, at idle, and WOT, the rest of the time the drone was unbearable. Where I you, I'd consider some other system. I must add that I had the older 40 series mufflers.

If I'm not mistaken there is a drone with all the systems at or between 1500 to 1800 rpm. It boils down to personal comfort in the end.

I've got Flowmasters on my car (A&A supercharger, no cats) and the drone is pretty bad at around 1500 to 1900 RPM as others have said. They do sound nice at idle and WOT though.

With stock setup the drone is not bad at all and they have a nice sound.

I also have the dual tips, drone was very noticeable when I first put em on 1500 mi ago , now either im used to it or it got quieter (just the drone that is). No regrets.
As a matter of fact the other day, this gorgeous girl comes over and says I love that sound can you rev it again please, I think her knees buckled

I couldnt take that day in and day out.

I went with NPP with NPP in a box. I decide whether loud or quiet. And with a Vortech with LG headers when open its ferocious! Closed its quiet as stock(almost).
