Doesn't surprise me. Something has to be done to meet the ridiculous new time limit for the new CAFE standard. Either drop the Corvette entirely or drastically change it to get the needed mileage by the new arbitrary time limit. The article states the C7 will still be front engine (well, duh!!!) but that doesn't eliminate front wheel drive. But this could be very good news that the 2012 might still be a performance car before we drop into the pit of wienermobiles again.
Lol, people are butt hurt that somebody is trying to share information from research on the internet.
He never said you had to beleive it, or try the link, or bother him about it.
Come on marc, when someone post something they expect people to read it. If you have new info and you are the source you would have to submit your bona fides otherwise post the link, it's not too much to ask.

CAFE will be an average and with the Volt pumping out 230mpg the C7 could get 10mpg and be fine.
That said, it would be nice to see a V6 TT on the table as a C7 option. Then program it for ridiculous mpg but leave it open so us enthusiasts can turn up the boost and enjoy the car still.
Well That date would sure complement the new AWD system GM will introduce in 2012 for both Cadillac and Corvette. Looks like things are coming together nicely for C7 now! AND 20013 will surly give us a special 60th anniversary model to boot!
