Corvette: Production of the next-generation Corvette, internally called C7, is expected to start in April 2012 for the 2013 model year. The front-engine layout will be maintained.

GM CEO Fritz Henderson confirmed first to AutoWeek that the C7 remained in the works, Corvette Nation collectively breathed a sigh of relief. Quoted from autoweek mag.

Time frame makes sense. I just hope the c7 stays with big displacement.
