My passenger side door does not extend out passed the rear quarter panel and I am getting paint chipping off. Driver side is fine. 2008 model with factory bumpers installed.
Is anyone else still having problems with the bumpers installed and is there a differant bumper that can be put in there? here are some pictures. The white spot is where the paint has been sandblasted away.

There is a rubber bumper on the lower door jam to hold the door out flush with the quarter panel. The early C6's didn't have it and after complaints, GM added the bumper.

It does not seem uncommon for the door to be too far in or the panel to be too far out.
This is my 3rd C6 all year 2005s and I dont think there was a bumper on any of them. Doesnt seem like that lower corner could be adjusted with or without the bumper?
The door is easy to adjust yourself, 13 mm socket on a 1/4 drive ratchet and about 5 minutes. I just adjusted my driver door Saturday.
How did you do that. My C6, Zo6 driver door is just slightly out from the rear quarter panel. I thought I would shim the front of the door, where the hinges attach to the body. That seems like it would push the front out and tilt the back in.
