The quote from the Service Manual says the engine must be turned off for 45 minutes, does that mean the fan won't start until then? You don't want the system to activate every time you shut off the engine for a minute, but waiting 45 minutes seems like a long wait.

How about battery drain? You won't get afterblow in cold weather when your battery is more critical, but how much would we be shortening the battery life by running the A/C fan for several minutes every day we drive the car in summer?

Enquiring minds want to know...
