I have been waiting and waiting for some good weather to take a fall leaf tour. With record lows, rain falls and high winds most of the leaves are gone.
I washed and waxed(Lemon Pledge), added StaBil, connected the tender and covered the coupe up.
It's about four weeks early. The one good day last week I got it to the dealer for the one free lube/oil/filter service that they provide when you purchase a car there.
They provide a copy of the invoice and it totaled $95.95. $12 was for labor, 8 qts oil was $76.40, filter was $7.75. I was surprised that there was no shop supplies fee or oil disposal fee.
The $12 labor fee was reasonable. Still, I do it myself for under$35.00
Pledge worked really well "back in the day" on interiors. I've used it on my motorcycle with no ill effects (paint wise), but I didn't like the result as much as Honda Polish (that stuff is GREAT).
All that work and love to put a car up and it gets covered with furniture polish lol.... I hear Wesson oil smells good in the lsx engine...and its biodegradable.

8 qts of oil??? What did they do.....fill up the glove box, the center console & the rear cubbies?
I would be concerned with the 8 quarts of oil, hopefully it was a typo, as for the weather you gave up too soon watch that sunshine and blue skies next week.

pledge was used on cars back in the 60's and 70's as a quick fix for car shows.. however, our cars were not clear coated back then. it lasts about 8 hours then is gone. if it gets wet, its gone. its not the way to take care of a clear coat paint job.. offers the protection of a perforated condom......
One of my friends just told me last night his '07 is put away(3500mi on it)and I said I'm a die hard with 17K on my'08 and I'm hoping to drive to the Carolinas in Nov. That's probably the kiss of death now.
I looked at the invoice again and yep its says "8" qts. I didn't pay attention when I posted it. I'll check the oil level and ask them what's up.
I don't have to worry about the weather improving as I have three more to get to the dealer for the free service also. So they are not put to sleep yet.
I've used the Pledge for some time it is easy to apply and wipes off without any effort. Glass, chrome, paint and plastic. Does have a shine that is better than the regular car waxes. It will come off in a wash.
