I with the op on this one, Give the man a damn break. God forbid he wants to keep his C6 as flawless as possible. Maybe some of you people need to take better care and have some respect for the best damn American sports car hands down.
Would drive me crazy also dawg. However, since I've owned black vehicles before, I knew better than to get a black vette. yes, they are awesome looking!!! ...but just NOT worth the effort.
There is nothing that annoys me more than the knuckleheads that say, "It's just a car." That's the stupidest statement that continues to get repeated on this forum. I feel the OP's pain. He has every right to worry about keeping his car nice. For you people that say that it's just a car, how about I come over to your house and break out a few windows, chip some bricks off of the side, pull some rain gutter down. What the hell.... It's just a house for crying out loud! Get over it. They build them every day. There's plenty of houses around to choose from.

....and all my rides are black with the exception of mine & wifey's DDs....Both of our last DDs were black, and it drove me CRAZY trying to keep 'em clean..even kept them in the garage...but from the sounds of it, I take better care of my DD (2004 Silverado 4x4) than some of you take care of your Vettes ...and NO, it's not "just a truck"..it's MY truck...It looks just as good as the day I bought it in 2004 and it will look just as good in ten years

And, exactly, why is a statement of fact "It's just a car" stupid? It's not an airplane. It's not an elephant. It's not a train. It's a car. Unless you know something the rest of us don't.
Perhaps owning nice cars fore more than 50 years gives me a different perspective from you.

Maybe... Since I've only owned nice cars for 40 years. It's not "Just a car", it's a Corvette. If you can't tell the difference, you've wasted 50 years of driving, in my opinion. A Honda is an appliance. A Corvette is a lifestyle. Again, if you can't tell the difference, trade it on a Toyota Camry. The mindset presented by you and some others convince me that I do know something that you don't. My question is, if you don't love these cars, why are you here?

Maybe it is "just a car", but it's MY CAR, and I have a view and plan of how I want this car's life to play out.
The other half of the matter is, all the time I spent into it being so clean. I know I have a good 6-10 hrs ahead of me getting it back. :o

I bought my first (new) Vette at 21 as an E-3 in the Navy. Bought my first Porsche as a PO2 at age 23, two more Porsches followed... when twins loomed it was other nice cars. I know nice cars. I know nice things. I've lived and worked and hunted on five continents. I know nice. I also know balance.

But have you known the pain of having a new 1970 Cuda AAR sitting at the Carrier piers parking lot at Mayport with no protection from the elements?
