Ok.. I am fairly new to the corvette world.. I recently bought my first corvette.. (09).. So, I was wondering can you guys explain the "jake" thing... I was wondering about it.. I have seen several items for sale with the jake logo on it and I was just wondering alittle about it. Can you guys explain. Thanks in advance! Tonya

Thanks for you guys to send nice remarks back on this post.. I figured I would get someone that would "make fun".. but, I wanted to ask the ?.. I am new to this world.. I just came aboard the corvette world and this site has been so much fun and help... I do know alittle about the corvette racing when Dale Sr & Jr participated... I even bought the diecast corvette of that race.. I am a nascar fan but I will keep an eye out for the corvette racing.. Thanks again for your (nice) replys! Tonya

I was wondering this myself last night and found the thread someone else linked in another reply.
It's a neat story and a neat logo. I don't happen to be a fan of the skull look and won't be purchasing any jake gear, but I can see the appeal to some of the Corvette crowd.
