Having only had my new Corvette since August, I decided to go on a Corvette Cruise a couple of weeks ago setup by Sparky and Pat in Southern California. This event (which was listed in the Events Section of the Corvette Forum) was a "spirited" drive from the City of Orange - Anaheim area (The Block in Orange Mall) to Dana Point (RJ's Restaurant) via the scenic route - an approximate two hour drive. It involved about 30 corvettes and my wife and I had a blast. It was a beautiful day and we met a lot of nice people with some of the same interests. Any Corvette owner was welcome to cruise and since this was my first ride, I was not sure what to expect.
It was so much fun to see all these corvettes around you as you are driving down the street. While stopped at a traffic signal, a car pulled along side me and a woman rolled down her window. She began to ask if we were part of a car club and what we were doing. When I explained to her that all of us were just out for a drive together, she found it fascinating and wished us a good time.
I encourage those who live in Southern California to think about attending the next cruise set for Sunday, December 13th. It is their annual "Toys for Tots" cruise and they will be going from "The Block in Orange" to "Hooters" in Moreno Valley. Please check the Events Section for further information.
Special thanks to Sparky and Pat for setting this up

That is a very good question. The weather forecast is indicating it is going to shower, at least part of the day. I am going to show up. Worst case scenario is I turn around, go home, and dry off my car.
Well, it rained into the early morning hours, but stopped in enough time for the Corvette Cruise. Turn out was light (there were about 10 corvettes), but we met others at our destination - "Hooters" in Moreno Valley. Just wanted to show you what you missed. The girls were great and enjoyed being around the corvettes.
Just go to the "Events" tab, "Calendar", then "Southern California". Select the event and there is an option that will send you a reminder of the event.

Sorry you missed it...
Hey thanks for the help. I'm new here and still learning the ropes. What really sucks is, I was telling my wife that same morning I wanted to go for a cruise.
