Best forum I've seen.

The S2000 forum was exceptional as well. They have a lot of respect for the Corvette.

The CF is an integral part of Corvette ownership.

Besides being very informative, it's also good for a LOL once in awhile.
This forum is always active, 24/7, which is a great thing...it's never dull.

Raazor....Don't need to suck up, I currently don't even own a vette....so I'm just posting up the facts like I see them! As for the granny-rig, it's great, loving it and still glad I bought it! As someone else said on here, there are always going to be "few" people who try to stir the pot! Lord knows, I have done my share of stirring over the years!! I see you still have your custom wideboy school bus! What happened, cound'nt sell it when you tried? I read your post where you "almost" sold it. Later..

I can't speak for all Forums, but I have been on quite a few Vette and Audi Forums. (wifey owns a TT Coupe).

None of them move as fast as this one, blink and a thread is on the second or third page.

I have learned a lot about my Corvette from this Forum.

From D.I.Y. jobs to finding the right vendors for those all important mods.
The best thing is how we pass on the info we learn to the newbies so they can enjoy their Vette ownership as much as we do.

Thanks Billy, look forward to seeing the new ride! Hate to see the GS go, but I understand, the C4's are just completly different cars than the C6's. Enjoy it!!!

That's o.k. - I agree with most of what VS agrees with ('cept the Top Tier gas stuff )

iridelow - I want to aplogize to you for how your thread went a few months back when you swapped cars. You tried pretty hard to keep it civil, and in the end it all went the wrong direction and was eventually locked.

Back to topic:

Good post iridelow. I agree with you assessment of this site. It's probably the strongest, most useful car forum. I did find some good help on nastyz28.com when I was restoring my '79 Camaro. But on that site, it was often only 2 or 3 people who knew what I was talking about, responding to my questions. One of the greatest advantages of this site is that due to it's huge membership, you can get answers to tech questions in hours, or even minutes.

Another benefit of the size is the annual Corvette Cruise Ins and other events.

I have seen this done quite a bit and it does seem to "go around". The helpfulness of many, many on this site is part of the best things about the Forum.

CF is the ground zero of all things Corvette. There is nothing that you can ask here that someone will not give you a sane straight up answer. I have been watching the Forum when I had my C-5 cor about three years and then finally joined when I got my C-6. A big thanks to everyone here for all the help and entertainment.

I fully agree.

I joined this forum 7 months prior to purchasing my C6. I knew close to zip about them. I read dozens (hundreds?) of posts just about every day, sucking in every every tidbit of information.

This forum provided me with the knowledge I required to order my C6 tailored for me. In fact, a year and a half later, I would order the identical car.

If I post a question, literally minutes later I get an answer. It totally amazes me. If you post something, by the time you get back to the original page, your post is way down at the bottom or even on the next page. Talk about an active forum - yikes.

This forum will always be a part of my Vette experience, and I thank you all for that.

Well, let's see . . . I do visit Digital Corvettes once in a while, but it seems like well over half the discussions over there have nothing to do with Corvettes. Some are entertaining for a while, eventually most descend into madness and name-calling. Who needs that? I come to Corvette Forum for factual information and good vendor references. I always get both. The wife has a new Honda Accord and they also have some great forums . . . but CF is still the gold standard.

I can say that I have taken info found on CF to other forums but I have never found info on other forums that I have brought to CF. That tells me something.

This forum is a great resource and I was surprised at how much info was actually on the forum when I joined it. Whenever I have a question about my vette, I can usually find the answer by searching the forum. If I can't find the answer then I start a thread and usually get my answer in a less than an hour. I don't know how I would've found all this info w/o the forum.

I see this thread getting locked also and probably should since the OP doesn't even own a C6. Must be pretty boring on the Bimmer forum.
