NOT THAT IT EVER WORKED CORECTLY TO START WITH, BUT AT LEAST IT HAD NICE 1500. DOLLAR CORVETTE EMB. ON IT. NOT EVEN1000 MI. ,ONE MORE THING TO CHALK UP TO G.M.............
Have you tried simply restarting the car? Blank screens can be caused by communications errors. Turning off and restarting the car can get things back in sync.

Take it to the dealer and have it checked out. I have a 2008 with navigation and it has worked without problem.
You bought the car without it working and now you're pissed at GM? It doesn't seem like you like much of anything from what I've seen of your other posts.

Did restart the car, when i do it comes back on ,but takeing it to the dealear? I don,t need anymore probs. Thanks for your input.
To the clown with his head in the dirt if you don,t like a post.....well don,t readddddd it...........and send gm another ck.
When I first got my 2009 I had problems with the HUD disappearing and for some reason it would move up out of visual range for me in my seating position behind the steering wheel. I played with the left dash controls and eventually got it set where I could see all data while seated at my preset seat program. Once that was accomplished it's been good to go. May have failed one time and a restart of the car cleared up the communication problem the computers were experiencing as suggested by Talon90.
thanks, i,ve heard that the bluetooth sometimes causes a prob.,just unhooked neg. side of batt......seems ok for now thanks agin

Have had the same problem, but only on first start during cold weather. Just restart and the screen appears. Yes it's a PITA, but not intrested in taking it to the dealer.
I stand corrected on my post. I re-read the OP's original post and misread it as the HUD and not the NAV. I've not had any issues with the NAV other then it being a PITA to operate compared to all previous systems I've used for the past 15 years. In my roughly 4,000 miles I put on the car this past summer I may have had the NAV fail to start up upon starting the car once or twice but don't recall any specific issues with it being an issue.
I had the NAV not start up on one occasion. Corrected itself when I shut down the car and restarted. No other problems since then.
I have had the same thing happen two different times. Both times, it started working again the next time I started up the car. I figured it wasn't worth taking the dealer until I could duplicate the problem.
