Recommendations on Jack, Jack Stands, Ramps
I'm looking to buy a jack, stands, ramps for use with my Corvette (and my daily drivers as well). Any recommendations, advice, tips to share?
I primarily need them for oil changes, removing wheels to clean, maybe installing splash guards, etc. I don't need race ramps, just very typical DIY type stuff.
Thanks in advance!

They also have a set of extension ramps for ultra low vehicles. About $500.00 for the two so it's not cheap.

I bought my low pro jack from amazon. Other than that I got the jack stands etc from pep boys. IMO you dont need anything fancy besides the low profile jack, everything else is over kill. Just be sure to use the pucks for jacking

Here are the ramps I use for oil changes... low profile so the car rolls onto them with no dragging:
Then they just hang on the wall when not in use:
I also use the Omega low profile hydraulic jack... again it slides under the vette (front and back) with zero rubbing.

I have a whole bunch of the different products that Race Ramps offers!
Yes they are expensive but well worth it!
cheers!

Just a few pics of the RaceRamps. Have the "cradels" from them also but haven't used them yet. A little pricey but a good product and I bought directly from them. Got the jack and stands from Freight Harbor at a very good price. Happy with all of it.

Mine is the U.S. General 2-ton "low profile" race jack (part # 92782). Pretty happy with it but alot of the guys have a problem with some jacks (various brands of cheap jacks) leaking.

As others have said, you can't go wrong with Race Ramps.
I've got a US General Floor Jack as well and it's always worked as expected minus one small issue (see below, no big deal though).

If I hadn't inherited a perfectly working floor jack for free, I'd be buying the Norco 71232...

I don't know if any forum vendors carry it, but it comes with a lifetime warranty and although it is no longer made in the USA, they supposedly use much better components and seals than the other Chinese made jacks.
I also have a set of the Craftsman 3-ton high lift jack stands, don't really need the high lift for the Corvette but they come in handy for the SUV, and the height differential between the high lift ones and the regular ones at the short end is only a little over 1".
Before I go dropping hundreds of dollars on Raceramps, I am saving my $$$ for a MaxJax.

No. The 67" ramps are fine for the C6. I have the 67" 2-piece ramps from Race Ramps and they work fine.

I recommend their wheel chocks also. Great product.

I use a slightly modified Craftsman 2-ton aluminum floor jack (with adaptor beams) and jack stands from Sears. Other than a simple board ramp to gain enough clearance to get my floor jack and attached adaptor beam under the car, I've never had the need to use Race Ramp or Rhino ramps. As a general rule I shy away from places like Harbor Freight. When it comes to tools (especially hand tools) I've always been satisfied with Craftsman quality.

Me too...until I bought this 2 Ton Craftsman Aluminum Jack. It barely outlasted the 1 year waranty it came with before it started leaking. Read the reviews at that link. 98 reviews with an overall rating of 1.5 out of 5 stars.

Been looking for a low profile jack myself. Several out there with different brand names but look like they are made by the same manufacturer. Bought this one today, lowest delivered price I have found, $299.

I also have the Race Ramps and I really like 'em. I also have the Omega low profile jack and jack stands along with a cross beam....I think its a great combo for our Vette's, but to each their own, good luck!
