At least the Camaro's seem to be real team. Same one that ran the Pontiac G8 GXP successfully last year. I saw a report from their shop and the owner indicated the wheelbase on the G8 was exactly the same on the new Camaro. Could it be the Camaro is a Holden chassis made in the US.
LJ
I think it is the same chassis but it (the stock car anyway) is made in Canada.

Jan Magnussen in the lead Camaro is overtaking Andy Lally in a Porsche GT3 by 4-5 seconds per lap. But he's got to be hearing Jonathan Bomarito gaining on him in a Mazda with lap times 2 seconds faster than Magnussen.

Romanini in the #19 Corvette has moved up to 22nd, but his lap times are 3 seconds off those of the GT leaders'.

Oh, it's beginning to rain again.

Robin Liddell has relieved Jan Magnussen in the Stevenson Camaro and after a long yellow he takes the lead in GT class. Jonathan Bomarito is 4th in a Mazda, and Andy Lally has slipped to 6th in a Porsche. The two privateer Corvettes are still a very distant 37th and 38th. Just under 18 hours to go.

I would like to see the Camaro beat the Porches and BMW's, especially with Magnussen driving. I would love to see the look on their faces when they realise they lost to a American car not even a vette.

Gee, wonder if they are testing that new 5.5L?

Some solid racing through the night. At the half way point there are two Daytona Prototypes leading the rest after 364 laps.

Tenth overall and 18 laps behind the DP leaders, Johannes van Overbeek leads GT in the TRG / Flying Lizard Porsche GT3. Jan Magnussen is almost one lap behind him in the lead Stevenson Camaro GT.R. Behind them in 3rd and 4th in GT are Timo Bernhard in another TRG Porsche and Matt Bell in the other Stevenson Camaro.

Ricardo Romagnoli in the lead Corvette #19 is 82 laps behind the leaders and 20th in class. Paul Edwards in the other Corvette #7 is some 80 laps farther back in an extended stop.

After a couple of hours of daylight track temperatures and speeds are rising. DP lap times are now about 10 seconds quicker than they were overnight.

In GT after 18-1/2 hours it's Porsche, Porsche, and Mazda followed by Brady Refenning in the first Stevenson Camaro GT.R nine laps back of the lead Porsche. Jan Magnusen in the second Camaro is 28 laps down.

The #19 MCM / Black Flag Racing Corvette with Diego Romanini is still running, but is a very distant 136 laps behind. The #7 Godstone Ranch Motorsports / Team MBR Corvette retired after 201 laps.

Is the Rolex 24 on today the same race dominated by Ron Fellows last year (refer to link)?

Two shunts at 20 hours 10 minutes. The fifth-place GT Stevenson Camaro #97 driven by Mike Borkowski is in the garage with heavy front end damage. The sole remaining Corvette #19 with Ricardo Romagnoli has been hit hard in the right rear and is stopped on the course. It's not known for sure if they collided.

The Stevenson crew has put most of the #97 Camaro back together after its collision with the #19 Corvette and got it back on the track sans fenders and hood. It really looks like a wounded warrier. The Camaros are running 8th and 10th in class, 25 and 45 laps down.
