Would you buy a Vette if only a Manual Trans was offered?

I would only own a manual but I do occasionally drive my wife's automatic.

I wouldn't buy a slushbox. sportscars will all eventually get a twin clutch manumatic in the future, most likely, but I think the manual will still be made for awhile.

Although every Vette I've owned has been an auto, a manual only option would not stop me from buying one. I'm glad the Corvette didn't rely on the manual only crowd as it would have been still born the first year.

In the olden days I loved to mess with carburetors, distributors (anyone seen a dwell meter lately?), and manual shifting. Then I wised up and realized that letting an analog/digital computer control the engine made my life a lot easier and the car go faster most of the time also. Now I work on driving technique and let the automatic systems do what they are good at.
If there were only a manual available I would have to think long and hard about whether I wanted the hassle and I certainly wouldn't consider it for a DD as my current A6 is.

Ok, I've thought hard though not long. Nope. I'd probably find myself in some European sports car with an auto transmission or at least an auto/manual.

I would, depending on a variety of circumstances like how painful my back was at the time, what kind of traffic I was driving in the most, how good the other cars I might be interested were, etc.
Right now, rowing a manual is a major part of my joy of driving my Vette. I'm more in control of the timing as I drive vs the Vette autos I've test-driven.
It also depends on what the term "manual" means at that point in time. I suspect we will be talking about very different "manuals" in the not-too-distant future. Having owned an Audi with DSG, I really enjoyed that at the time but now seeing the problems some are having with them...I don't know.

All I've ever owned was a shifter...I tried doing the responsible family thing with the arrival of both my beautiful sons, Logan and Braden, by buying an automatic 08 528...since its everyday car, hated life ever since we bought that car. Hated the auto trans so much we went over the top, and bought our first vette 3 weeks ago ...my wife and I promised each other we would never buy a auto trans, not even truck
