I was actually there when it happened, saw the tow truck with the vette on the back going down the street. that does suck.

Too bad.
Hope the owner has good insurance so they can get a new Z-06 as a replacment for their base C-6.

Insurance company never pays enough for car especially to be able to purchase a new one.

That was a friend of mine in his '07 coupe. Yes he had insurance, and is already in a '08 coupe. He said they never found a reason why it caught fire. The people in the car behind his noticed smoke coming from under the car. By the time he pulled over and got out it was already on fire. He had to rent a car to get back home. No one was injured BTW.
