I've used the Wolfgang tire gel for a couple of years & i like it cause it lasts a long time, just let it dry for at least an hour before driving it........autogeek
But, let it dry on your wheels overnite to avoid any sling.

a couple hints for gel users:
1. Make sure tire is completely dry prior to application, this is especially important in the ribbing area (consider leaf blower)
2. Try to add thin, even coat as possible. Allow 10 minutes for gel to cure properly and dry.
3. Rebuff with second clean towel or applicator to remove any excess product that didnt dry properly.
I walked into Big O Tires one time and noticed how good their display tires looked. I asked what do you use to keep those display tires looking so good? They showed me some Big O tire dressing, I asked if they would sell me a bottle, a gallon is all they had. So I walked out with a gallon of this stuff, best tire dressing I have ever used. You cut it with water to to what ever shine you want! It will last a life time and smells like bananas!
I use Meg's Hot Shine on my C-6 for show days. Pretty messy but gives a nice wet look shine. I use a tire dressing sponge to apply it. I never apply without latex gloves because of the mess.

There you go sir, I was waiting for someone to say it. Black magic is the only thing I use on my interior, exterior, engine, and tires. Great stuff. Im on the other end of the spectrum, I like my tires to be as shiny as possible and black magic does it. And if put on with a foam pad, does not sling afterdrying. Love it. And it smells great
Whats with the "smells nice"? Do you guys go around smelling your tires? What next, are you going to pee on them after you smell them? Sorry, just had to do it!

Same here, I use it on the interior, etc. I bought a large sponge for the tires, cut it in half, and use one for applying, the other for removing excess. I don't like my tires looking extremely wet though, so I use the dry sponge until I get the desired look.
IMHO, please leave your tires natural. Shine up the rest of the beast, but next time you are driving around please note the other cars\drivers who have shiney tires. Can we please be men about this one item that does not need OCD attention? Whats next? The latest rug shampoo?
Damn right I have ocd like a **** lol. Sorry, but I like the wet looking tires. Goes good with my black car, and black wheels. But thats what makes this world unique right? To each his own. You know what they say, opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one. Theres no right or wrong answer to this one.
