Possible Alternator Problem???

fix the fan situation then re eval. Fans should not come on until 205* coolant temp with a/c off. If they are on before, there is a problem. The short could be draining the hell out f your battry and then the code pops up since the system cannot keep up according to the ECM/BCM

It sounds like the regulator circuits are starting to fail at higher temperatures. Testing on the bench at room temperature would not necessarily show this type of failure.

Just my 2 cents....
Took it off the car at running temp and bench tested it... good to go

I found the "Cooling Fan Control Module" on gmpartsdirect for $123.00

That's not bad compared to what the stealership is going to try to get me for since it's not something the pats/toy stores don't carry.
