I've got one for my Escort - works great - no tilt in the mirror - Should mount straight - If it hangs down a bit just use a small piece of velcro to hold the front of the mount closer to the mirror - mine was fine though

nice... do people like this more than the voztech?
I also have my V1 attached to the mirror using the Great Lakes unit and it is just fine. No vibrations whatsoever. The real plus over suction cups is the ease of removing the unit from the mirror if/when you want to. Cocking the mirror slightly for normal use won't screw up the V1's act one bit.
sweet, great lakes it is... I didn't want it right in my face w/ the visor one, but some people said the mirror wasn't aimed right and the stickiness failed... but it sounds like those were the exceptions. I've already got my short cord to wire into the mirror, can't wait to get the detector up
It's a small piece of metal that anyone can make with a little time and effort! make your own, or just spend 40 bucks!
By the time I buy the metal, buy tools to trim it to size, and figure out the bends and paint it, it'll have used more than $40 of time and materials. I just went with the $32 shipped mirror mount.

Have had mine on for 4 years now.
My mirror has vibrated a little since day one. Not enough to distort my rear view. The window tint does that just fine.
I believe I need to pull the mirror and bend the mounting pins inside where the mirror meets the window bracket.
