It looks like the L G Enterprises or racing cai fell by the wayside. I can't find one that I like so a performance place in Temecula Ca. is going to make one for me.
LG Motorsports I know but I'm not familiar with LG Enterprises (or LG Racing). Considering the excellent CAI's on the market (by Lingenfelter, Callaway, Vararam, etc.) I'm not so sure what's to be gained by custom fabricating one but more power to you! Post some pics and tell us about when you're done.
L G Motorsports is the one that had a long running thread.
This my first late model Corvette/GM motor so I am not familar with what is available. The ones that I did see worked in the cavity in front of the core support.
I have an '06 6.1L Dodge with an AirHammer cai and see nothing similar. Granted the vette has less space to work with.
The claim that LG provided positive pressure was very interesting. I will be running open road races (rallies) so I will be spending time in the 130 to 160 mph range.
I will post pictures the work will likely start next week.
I can't find anything similar to that picture on the Volant web site.
I looked at a thread that c6roadster started - a lot of subjective stuff.
The Vortex Rammer seems to make the strongest claims and also claims a higher price but why is it different from all the others sucking air from the same cavity?
A dyno is not the best way to test a CAI but it beats SOTP info.
We have no way to get an apples to apples comparison so we take from $200 to 1,000 and make a choice with very limited info.
