Default thinkin bout lowering

I was wondering if anyone has lowered just the back. Any opinions on this. I scrape in the front and want to lower the back alittle bit. Has anyone done this?

When I lowered my car I did the rears first. When I dropped it to work on the fronts it just did not look right. Just lower the front with it, you're just scrapping the front air deflectors which are nothing, I scrape those things all the time. Did it when it was at stock ride height too, didn't get much worse after I lowered it.

You could lower the back if you like the back lower than the front. I think it looks best with the back slightly higher. On one vette i lowered it to 26in. fender height at all corners and it just didn't look right. I ended up raising the rear up another 1/4 inch and it looked much better. Just lower the front and the back and avoid rough roads.

Considering the OEM setup provides for a slight rake, if you drop the rear only you might get close to leveling your car. Many Corvette road racers essentially level their car for optimal track performance (or, just with a very slight rake). I've never adjusted the setup for appearance but I would not measure using the fenders or body panels. IMO you're better off measuring the height to a hard point on the frame/chassis.

this may be more than you want to deal with but FWIW...it's possible your car didn't come setup perfectly from the factory (mine wasn't). Just turning the bolts an equal number of turns is no guaranty your car will be 'balanced' properly (side to side, diagonally or front to back). Anytime you adjust one corner of the car it affects the other corners (the one diagonally the most). It may not be that critical for you but there are specific steps and procedures to help get your setup right...everything from tire pressures, fuel load, settling the suspension, being on a dead level surface, measuring, adjusting, re-measuring and readjusting, et cetera. It's not overly difficult...just food for thought.
