Inside Temperature Sensor
What is the little vent next to the Start Button (Left of the Button)
I thought it was the inside temperature sensor?
Delaer says it is the radio cooling fan

It is a microphone for the Bose noise compensation system (automatic volume control). Your dealer was at least close. It does have to do with the radio.
See corrected information below. Internal temp sensor next to the start button.....and microphone below the start button on the knee bolster.

Paul, isn't the Bose AudioPilot microphone located below the start button and the internal temp sensor is located to the left of the start button? Or do I have that backwards?
trust me there is a little fan to the left of our start buttons. I had it in my hand.
Long black tube with a sensor on the outside end of it and a fan pulling air into it.
Should be quiet but not mine

You are right. The Audio pilot mic is below the start button. This I'm now sure about. I should have read the post more slowly.

2006 owner's manual, page 3-29.
There is also an inside temperature sensor located to the
left of the ignition switch. The automatic climate control
system uses this sensor to receive information, so if you
block or cover it, the system will not function properly.
