It seems as if all of a sudden my 2008 Z51 is trying to lock up the front brakes all by itself at the slightest hint of understeer. Do I need new tires? I just swapped out the rear tires a month or so ago and rear grip is better than the front now.
Can I fire the nanny somehow?
I think what your feeling is opposite of your thoughts. First, with new rears, you wont get more grip (dry) as very worn tires have the most grip...Think drag slicks, nacar, etc.....less tread is more grip. That being said, you may be feeling oversteer because the front is now gripping better than the rear. This will feeling like "stopping" to some drivers.
The new rears are factory size. I feel AH engaging the front brakes, sometimes it even pulses ABS.
I'm spoiled by racecars that don't have any of the nannies.
And it's definitely much harder to spin the rears than it used to be.
