Wow is this a machine! I spent the last weekend in the GA, NC & TN mountains with friends. This is the first time for the vette, but I’ve been many other times in other sports cars and all I can say is having the vette is cheating. The car really comes alive once you push it some and the capabilities are amazing. I left the nannies on since this was the first time and I didn’t notice interference except when I tried to get it sideways in a three lane corner (with no other cars around) and it wouldn’t let me.
If the politicians knew how much fun we are all having this car would be illegal!
Now take a trip out west. The car is very powerful even up around 12000 feet. Of course if you make an error in the wrong place you might wish you were in FL or someplace flat.

I think that someplace is a track. I suggest you find a road course venue in your area (check NASA and SCCA for starters). A track is a far better place to learn how to drive at speed in a relatively safe environment. If you get a regular speed fix on a track you'll be far less likely to risk doing something stupid on the street (or a mountain road).
Years ago I helped carry a dead girl off a mountain after her boyfriend drove over the edge. I never forgot. Be careful up there!
