I am a flowmaster fan. Have on my dodge truck in stainless steel and love it. How come for my 2007 vette it does not come in stainless steel? Alll the competitors out there have are 304 stainless. Anyone else feel the same way, confused?

I have the series 50's on my 2005 vert for 2 years and I do not see any deteriation of the mufflers in this humid and sometimes salty environment.
have you experience any problems in the non stainless steel models?
Alot of people get stuck on stainless and stainless is the best don't get me wrong. But, I had a flowmaster catback on my '04 GTO for 3 years including the Indiana winters. It was not stainless but aluminized steel. The coating of aluminum protects the stell really well. I am sure that is what the Vette system is.
Do you have the Flowmasters on your Corvette now? If so how do you like them? I am considering them for my 2006.

I had FMs on my '07 and they sounded great but dont fit so well on the OEM h/pipe. They are modified truck mufflers (40 Series I believe). They were a tad uneven out back.
When I switched from OEM h/pipe to ARH x/pipe my installer/tuner told me how crimped and banged up they were from the initial install and as a result they fit horribly on the ARH, had a minor leak and were really crooked out back .
I now run SLP Loudmouth II's
So... if you ever plan on headers DONT buy the FMs
I have Flowmaster American Thunder on my 06 vert and recommend them to anyone who wants a deep throaty sound.

I love the muscle car sound of the Flowmasters on my '06. They look the same as the day I installed them two years ago.

Had original steel on 6 yrs and rotted at the welds. Wantedstainless due to limited miles placed on vehicle. Moisture from sitting will rot them out if you do not burn out moisture,
