Close Call
When out cruising in my 09 Vert the other day, I was doing about 15 mph over the limit when a state trooper got on my tail and hit the lights and siren. Next thing I knew I was doing about 120 with my hear pounding almost twice as fast. I thought to myself, what am I doing? I'm an honest citizen whose never been in trouble before. So I slowed down and pulled over. When the trooper approached the car, he asked for my license and registration. I said "I'll bet you think you've heard every excuse in the book. Well, if I tell you one you've never heard before, will you let me go? He said "What's your excuse?" I said " About 3 years ago my wife ran off with state trooper and for a while there, I thought you were trying to bring her back." He said "Have a nice day sir."
