Default PFADT coilover issues continue

Ok.... enough is enough.

right coilover begins lossening and banging soon after install. "fixed".
left coilover begins loosening and banging weeks after. I drive to ESC (only one I trusted by that time). "Fixed".
right coilover snaps(!) after time of no issues. Local STS fixes with new parts.
Today....testing readings of my apparently poorly built motor...the rear left starts to bang..... again.

Anyone else have issues with this brand of product?

Gezzzz.. you think this a product install issue or a product issue? Guess my clunky old factory suspension doesn't seem to bad to me now... Hope you get it squared away as that's a lot of money spent to be having those kind of problems...

Didn't they redesign the top mount due to loosening?

Have you called Pfadts?

Zero issues with the ones on my C5 for over a year now and they have performed perfect

I have the revised ones and we did the upgrade before the install.

What did Pfadt say? Pfadt has an excellent reputation and I haven't heard of any widespread problem with their coilovers. I'd check for proper installation. Again, let us know what Pfadt says. Good luck.

Thanks all.

Yes, the issue on the right side was recently corrected with new mounts / bushings supplied by ECS and installed by my local STS. That coil actually SNAPPED in two...which is why I was forced to go to my local STS (who, BTW, did the job nicely).

Wish I knew enough to then to ask for those newly designed bushings for the left side.
Oh hell, hey I gotta go check on a disintigrating, newly built forged engine....so what's another busted suspension between freinds!

They have been issuing fixes to the problem.
Actually, ECS has been providing me (and now also installing free of charge) updated parts....even full coil over!
Saved me from even calling Pfadt, but I have indeed heard their CS is great

Can we just clarify that ECS did not build his motor?

glad2hver, We are pleased that ECS is handling the situation to your expectations. But please, do not hesitate to give us a call directly with any questions, comments, concerns etc. We do not want anyone to have an unsatisfactory experience with our product. Thanks for your business, and very sorry for the inconvenience.

Even the very best of cars and the very best of performance products can break or fail. It's how the manufacturer or dealer stands behind their products and steps up to make things right.

Pfadt has one of the very best customer service and customer satisfaction ratings anywhere IMO.
