Thoughts...
I am going to do a custom hood liner with Steve at Airbrush Inc. We are going to do the following with some read eyes, a moon lit background with rustling leaves and maybe a few ghosts, what do you think? Positive or negative it doesn't matter, just looking for your opinion.

Steve will make this look awesome. I can't wait to see the final product. A pet huh? Needs to be some sort of bad azz pet - like a wolverine with fangs that's pulling the ole grim reaper around. That's just flat out scary looking. Keep us posted.

Good Idea but my 2 cents worth. Just got mine done by Steve and the best advice can give you is this, tell him your idea and then ask what he recommends and you won't be disappointed at all. He has an unusual ability to read your mind. He is the best.

I was think an evil looking little skeleton dude with a pumpkin head with pointed teeth and a barbed wire leash lose fitting around its skinny neck but not so lose to come up over that evil looking pumpkin head!

That's a great Grim Reaper to compliment your sinister 'Halloween-ish' theme! From what I've seen of Steve's work he's an awesome talent. Like someone suggested, I think I'd settle on the basic concept and just turn him loose. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Be sure to post images of the finished project.

I just place my order with Steve, and while we are still in the planning stages, I will keep you up to speed on the progress. I should have the hood liner in about 6-8 weeks. I am really looking forward to it!! I am having him start with the reaper and am giving him carte blanche to do what he wants to make it look awesome! I can't wait!

I like the minimalist look and the mono-color scheme. It's your deal and you should make sure you're happy. Too many people over do it with colors and complicated graphics for my tastes. I think you can kill a good thing by making it too complicated. You have a great, cool idea. The slightest hint of "Jake" is also a cool idea.
As far as a pet, I would think about the unexpected if it were mine. Maybe a white persian cat or a friendly beagle. Just to freak people out. But them I'm weird.
