Default Window tinting cost?

I know the back glass of a Vette is hard to work with, but a local tint shop wants $225 for the 2 sides and the back. I asked how much just for the 2 sides and they said $50 for both which means $175 for just the back

Sounds kinda high to me. What are you guys paying? Anyone know of a good tinter in Pensacola, FL area?
Thanks,
Billy

From what I understand, the back window alone can take a few hours.

Funny, I just had to have the tints on the windows removed because they give tickets for this in CA. Bought the car from someone in Vegas.

Steamed the film off the windows was $40 for both. Did not have the rear taken off.

I'd imagine you've checked it out already, but I don't like having the back tinted. It's makes if very hard to tell exactly who's behind you at night, like a cop car. It also makes judging the distance someone is behind you harder, again more at night.

I like to know who is exactly where everyone is when I am driving, and the tints really work against that.

If you're going to get your rear lights smoked, see if there is anyone like me who had to get rid of a set. They are $560 just for the parts at the dealer, easy enough to install or take out. I got lucky and swapped them with a guy that owns a speed shop and whose car only sees the track.

I was just quoted $185 locally. They said the back window takes about 3 hours to do properly.

Mine was $145 but I think we got a little bit of a discount because we brought the guy two vettes at once.

Mine included black vinyl to cover the dot matrix, ONE piece of tint on the rear window and shaving the edges of the side windows to eliminate any gap between the film edge and glass edge. It's the best work I've ever seen from a tinter.

I was quoted $150-$280 based on the quality of the tint I wanted. I got the most expensive carbon tint installed for $280, but they had to do the back and side windows twice to get it right.

I was just quoted $240.00 to tint my convertible. This shop gets $300.00 for a coupe! I thought prices are a little steep.

The going rate around here is $100 for a Vert. $60 for both side windows, and $40 for the small rear window in the top, Fair price I would say. I did my own for under $30 in material. Came out great!
