My brothers 07 C6 was stolen Monday night from his house. It isnt likely that it was towed with how close his carport it to his neighbors fence...barely enough room to get the car in and out, much less a tow rig. But anything is possible. Its an 07 C6 vert...stolen in Houston near Memorial and the Beltway. It was raining Monday nite so he probably wouldnt have heard it if someone started it. He didnt have Onstar enabled and no LoJack or anything. Thieves suck.
What a real Bummer. Was the FOB perhaps close to or in the car? Hope they find the car and the SOB(s) that took it, and hopefully no damage. BTW...Nice car.
I continue to wonder how thieves do this without the FOB. That Corvette should be easy to spot though --- unless (bad news here) its already in a shipping container at your nearby port.....Sorry to hear the car was stolen --- looks like a unique and special car is missing from your family...
I'm sorry for the loss. I agree thieves suck! I'd get out a credit card and call OnStar immediately. I don't know but perhaps OnStar could be activated and its GPS positioning used to help locate the car. It would be worth a try (years ago a friend's stolen Suburban was recovered because of OnStar...they even caught the guys who did it). Keep us posted and good luck!

There are all kinds of simple vehicle 'moving' devices....it could have been lifted onto rollers and simply pushed out into the street (and towed from there). IMO it's unlikely the car was entered, started and driven away. Very sophisticated car theft rings (especially in some European countries) use extremely high-tec methods. Years ago, hackers demonstrated to Texas Instrument engineer's how their supposedly theft-proof systems could be defeated. Any car can be stolen.
I believe the C6 ranks pretty low on the most stolen cars list.
I'm sure it was towed off. My 300c was stolen in front of my parent's house a few years ago. Like you it was stolen on a raining night here in San Antonio. Good luck
I agree with Wayne even tho onstar can be defeated, it could only cost a little to give it a try. I'm also pretty sure they jacked it up and then pulled it with a tow-truck type chain. Pretty *****-y if you ask me seeing how Texas is one of those states where guns are used to protect house and property (among other states.....).
It is most likely in a container or some place else but here's hoping for the best!!!!

I don't know why that wouldn't work! My onstar is not activated but I was fooling around with the car the day after I bought it and pressed the onstar button. A nice lady came on and asked if I needed help. I apologized and explained that I wasn't subscribed. She said "no problem, have a nice day".
This leads me to believe that they can activate your service and find your car when ever they want to, that is when ever you pay them!
Give 'em a call and ask. Nothing to lose!
You can only activate Onstar from inside the car by pressing the Onstar button . They well not activate it by phone . I locked my keys in the car and tried to have it ativated by phone they would not do it .
good luck
man i would cry if my car got stolen..hope it turns up!
If a stolen car makes it across the pond wherever, how do they resell the car? do they strip it? put a new ignition in it? i always throught GPS was global?

that makes sense to me - it is like having your house burn down and then applying for insurance
There is pond-scum everywhere! I had a vette stolen years ago (67 coupe 427/435) which was gone forever! It's a very sick feeling to find your vette gone....
Hope they catch them but many times you don't want the car back....
