Hi folks, this is my 1st post. I have a 2008 C6 with factory chrome wheels, 3lt package. I got a nail in my run flats and I am ready to get rid of these tires( only 3,8xx miles). I hate the fact that I dont have a spare. So what I would like to do is find new wheels to match the oems so I have the same size all around.
where can I find oem like 18s for the back to match the front or 19s for the front to match the back. can 19s fit the front with out issues ? If so what size 19s?
Do not install same size rims on all four wheels. The car is designed to have 19 and 18 inch wheels. Some people have done this but they may be "advanced" car nuts or racers.
Run flats are very reliable. My son ran over metal clips that shreaded part of the run flat and made it home w/o any problem. I have had an employee place nails/screws under my run flats and I backed over them and drove for many miles untill I plugged the nail/screw intrusion or replaced the tire.
38xx miles on your tires - unless you have money to burn - I would not replace. Go to a certified Goodyear dealer and have it patched.
If you do want new tires then you must have enough money to buy Michelin replacements
You could purchase a set of four wheels and four new tires and then you would have two sets. But that will cost you some bucks for little reason to do so.

19s will fit in front without as problem, and 19s all the way round are fine. As for the exact size, check w/ your tire supplier.
In front I have 285/30-19
In back I have 305/30-20
Runflats are BS... replace them with decent tires and you will be amazed at the handling your Corvette has. Those who have only driven their Corvette with runflats have no idea what they're missing!
Where is the puncture in your tire? If it's within about the width of a quarter from the sidewall the tire is likely unrepairable. However, if the tire warranty is the same as my '06 and it's unrepairable, you will get a new tire free under warranty. Just a heads-up in case.
I agree with those who say patch and keep it if it's repairable.
The original poster stated "I hate the fact I don't have a spare". I really doubt going with non run flats would be the answer. Can you imagine how he will feel without the safety net the run flats provide?
Thank you all for your opinions and advice. I was able to find a certified goodyear dealer who patched the tire. I know the run flats are a great concept but I hate the noise they make. My car is a garage queen but when I do use it, I take her for a 300-400 mile run. Some of the small towns I would go to here in Fl definately dont stock run flats.
I am going to continue to look for oem matching 19inch wheels for the front.
Lots of guys here will tell you that non runflat tires perform better but don't believe it. The only guys going faster at the autox are running r-compound or track tires. Runflats perform fine. I patched one and ran another 10k miles including autox and dragstrip.
Also, you're going to upset the aerodynamics of the car going to larger wheels in front. Not sure about the speedo etc.
I just put the Firestone run flats on my C6 vert this week and it's like a different car. Was GLAD to get rid of the GYs (only 17K miles on them and they were shot).

Care to elaborate? There has to be a good story behind this.

When the time comes I also plan to replace my OEM GY GS-2s with Firestone runflats to get a better and quieter ride. BTW, I strongly disagree with those who glibly recommend non-runflats to new owners. There are some situations where non-runflats are appropriate (e.g. winter tires), but for most owners the benefits of runflats far outweigh their few faults.
BE SURE TO PURCHASE THE OPTIONAL ROAD HAZARD INSURANCE. Unlike your GYs, Firestones are not repairable and must be replaced if you pick up a nail. Today on TireRack.com road hazard insurance would add $123.60 (12%) to the $1030 set-of-four price. Very reasonable.
P.S. Please fill out your profile so we'll know more about your car, your location, etc.

Most "flats" are slow leaks. If you carry one of the tiny compressors that plugs into your lighter you can easily keep air in the tire until you get to a place that your tire can be repaired or replaced. For that matter, you can stop at a gas station every now and then to fill the tire too.
Also, you're good to drive on the "flat" tire for at least 50 miles. This will usually get you to a decent size town.
This doesn't fix the noise, but it takes care of most of the concern of being in small towns, etc.
