Nothing was wrong with his car. He was not wearing the harness just normal belt. He is very happy to be alive, and this is a life changing event for him i am sure. I love my pops, it hurts to see him in a vulnerable situation for the first time in my life. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who has showed support and a special thanks to the gentlemen and lady who visited him today!

Back from the hospital, Steve is currently at University Hospital on the 11th floor. He's in the OR recovery room. The had to repair a ruptured diaphram, he also had 5 broken ribs and a collapsed lung. They've inserted a tube through his nose to help his lung. Spoke to him for about 5 minutes as that's all they would allow. He realizes how lucky he is to still be with us and hopes to be up and about soon. The hospital is full so he's waiting on a room.
Haven't seen what's left of his car yet I've been told it's pretty bent up. We'll keep him in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Spoke with Larry (Cozmo a little while ago and filled him in. I'm sure Steve can't wait to see some more friendly faces tomorrow.

When I had my harness in my car I wore them 100% of the time, are they comfortable?? NOT BY ANY MEANS, But they were much safer than the factory restraint system and MUCH MUCH safer than not using one at all!!! At least he had the normal belt on
