is anyone interested in seeing alignment info after i had my new 2010 re done? some of you have seen that your front tires really wear out fast due to factory alignment. let me know and ill post what i have. i had them print out everything.....
that was on a brand new car 22 miles..... my 06 had the same problem and i didnt pay attention.i had to buy two new tires.. the alignment shop gave me a quick class. i think he even adds weight to your car to simulate body weight..
The alignment on the Vette doesn't seem to hold that good. I just had my 3rd one done at 24k miles. I noticed the last one was bad because the inside of the LF tire was wearing quicker than the rest of the tire.

Yes, mine does, too. Good thing to do!

Yeahhh, Dave, mine didn't seem to hold very long either. It wasn't radically out, but it was not really close to where they'd put it 6 mos. before. When I talked to the place that did it before (Phoenix Performance in PA), they said it just seems to be a characteristic of the car.
I have always been told that there is an Alignment for performance and another Alignment for tire wear. I have always specified the tire wear. I have always gotten over 30,000 miles on a set of tires.....
It's true we get our cars with the performance type of alignment.that's from a source at Gm most of us don't need the performance type because we drive our cars daily.it's up to u?
Can some one please post the spec for a 2007 RAG TOP with the Z-51
package.
Here is my 07 751 coupe specs in degrees. just done This weekend
Fronts
Camber left -0.3 Right - 0.1 SPEC -1.1 to 0.2
Caster left 7.2 Right 7.7 SPEC 6.9 to 8.1
Toe left 0.05 Right 0.02 SPEC -0.05 to 0.15
Included Angle 8.4 8.6
SAI 8.7 8.7
Rear Camber -0.1 -0.6 SPEC -1.0 to 0.1
Toe -0.01 0.02 SPEC -0.10 to 0.10
Thrust Angle -0.01 SPEC -0.20 to 0.20
all i was trying to show you is if you keep going by (gm auto spec) is that you are going to wear your front tires faster and you will keep spending more money on tires! for tire wear they need to sit flat or close to it.

Here's what I have been running for 10,000 miles now, including a 5,000 mile trip out west and a 1,500 mile trip up to Canada and back. The trick is to run 0 toe if you want any decent camber. I have NO abnormal tire wear at all, and I am running -1.0° of camber on the front!! The combination of non-zero toe and more aggressive camber can cause "scuffing", which will prematurely wear out tires.
