My rear diff on my 06 z51 vert(5500 miles) when I go slow and take curves and slow turns. Also the tranny shifts ****ty on slow low rpm shifts. The battery has gone dead in a couple of days and the window on the drivers side does not go up when you shut the door. I think it goes up to far and makes the door hard to close.
I already bought a new battery today and I guess I should get the diff and tranny serviced. I have full gmpp and they said the diff just needs to be driven more. Where do I find the tsb`s on 06 vettes ? Thanks in advance

Well, you never said what it does??? If it is doing what I think it is doing, you need to do a search, there are 30 threads on this problem and lot's of good fixes. But if you are on warranty just take it in and get them to check it out.
Did you try indexing the windows... It needs to be Re-Done when the battery dies...
Put the windows down, close the door with you inside...
Start the car and put each window up, hold the switch in the UP position for 3-4 seconds after it is all the way up, let go, and then hold it in the UP position again for another 3-4 seconds... Problem solved.
The rear end when you slowly turn and accelerate , repeatly clunks for 15 seconds,
I have had it to the dealer and the shop foreman said to drive it. I never tried to index the windows......that is why I look for info on the forum. Thanks

likely the diff. needs to have the fluid change out done. don't have the tsb handy but will look for it - if you search, you will find it here in past posts. common issue!
Subject: Rear Axle Clunk and/or Chatter Type Noise on Turns (Drain/Refill Rear Differential Fluid) #07-04-20-002A - (01/09/2008)
Models: 2004-2008 Cadillac XLR (Including V-Series and Export)
2005-2008 Chevrolet Corvette (Including Z06 and Export)
This bulletin is being revised to change the fluid recommendation and to remove the requirement of adding friction modifier.
Condition
Some customers may comment on a clunk and/or chatter type noise from the rear of the vehicle while making turns.
Cause
This condition may be caused by slip/stick of the posi-traction clutch plates due to insufficient limited-slip axle additive. As plates slip and stick, a jumping or jerking feel occurs accompanied by a clunk noise.
Correction
Important: DO NOT remove the differential cover from the rear or the two sides. It is not necessary to flush the old fluid from the differential.
The Posi-Traction diff clutch pack lock up on these car's is pretty strong and tend to be noisy disengaging around turn's when the wheel's are going different speed's. You can put in a fluid friction modifier additive to quiet thing's, but straight line clutch pack lock up will be deminished. Leaving mine alone.

I have an 06, I had the dealer do the diff service, about 3 years ago, and it has been all quiet since... Well worth it, not to have the noise. I bet when you back up, and turn you hear clunking... After oil mod... gone.

I believe Chev. now uses a different factory fluid for rear end.
