Jumped in my 05 this morning to go to work and feel a thud on my foot. I reached down and grabbed a spring, thinking to myself "great clutch spring broke." Get to work and slip under the steering wheel and this time its the brake return spring.
Can I drive the car around for a few days till I get the brake return spring in?
Also how many little things am I going to have to replace on this car before I get to 100k miles? Haha. Only has 53k on it now and I've replaced so many little things its not even funny.
I found out yesterday on mine the same thing must have happened. My sister was following me and called to say I was riding my brakes. So I lift up on the brake pedal with my foot while driving and the brake pedal has about .25" play in it and the lights go off. I crawl under there, can't find a spring and there's a shroud under there covering the pedal linkages. I haven't seen where a spring goes, or what the spring looks like to buy a new one. Gotta go to a Chevy dealer for that wiring harness clip for the steering column "Service Active Handling" deal anyways so I guess I got two birds to kill with this trip.
