GMPP Transfer
I just picked up a certifed used 08 and got the 12/12k certified warranty. I ran a GMVIS and it looks like the previous owner had a GMPP 72/60K.
I will probably call the dealer in the morning, but curious to know if the GMPP can be transferred once it goes through the CPO program.

Yes, as far as I know, it costs $50 to transfer. I don't think the Certified has anything to do with it. I kind of remember one of the Vendors here saying the GMPP would be suspended during the Certified warranty period or maybe just that the Certified would take care of anything that comes up rather than the GMPP. Can't remember for sure.

I thought the only person who could "sell" it was the original or prior owner. that said, you might want to contact the other owner and see if he'll transfer it to you. probably some cost involved, that is, if he hasn't turned it back in as jim said above.
