IMO seems a little corny.
But hey I know a guy that has numbers and decals all over his VY Z06. Granted he tracks the car, but I would not be seen in that car, no way.

Don't like it either
In fact I don't like the gills on it either. Both seem a little tacky. BUT, she IS a performer, no denying that. In fact check out Chevrolet's CD figures for all the 2011's. As I suspected, the base Coupe has the best drag coefficient of any Corvette produced, and not by a tiny margin either.

dude...its called forums! which means you talk about vettes, good and bad...maybe you need to wake up from la la land and understand every has a diff tatse..the GS is a awesome car but I dont like thr stripes either..Aint bad mouthing it just stating my opinion ...Just like how Monterrey red or crystal red look like brown to me... or a really dull vett color..its my opinion dude..not hating cause i love all vettes.

In my opinion the hash marks aka, stripes are a part of Corvette racing history. The hash marks have been run on many Corvette racing cars over the years. The Grand Sport is available with or without for that very reason. I agree with many posting here that they look better on some colors than others. This is the same as the "What is the best color" discussion that has gone on for years. The obvious answer is the color that you like, just like the stripes.

Got my new GS a week ago and breathed a sigh of relief that the dealer hadn't installed the stripe with the Heritage package.
I did demand the stripes and they are in the box under my work bench. Somewhere down the road, another future owner may want them.
Not for me though. I like the "clean" look.

I don't like...
I do not like the GS fender stripes at all. But, I don't like the gills on a Grand Sport either.
I just wished GM would bring back the Z51 package as an option on the base model without having to get a GS. Until they do, I'll just hang on to what I have.

Entirely up to the owner. They are shipped in a box with the car. The buyer can have the dealer install or DIY or put the box on a shelf.
