picking up my new to me dsom c6 this weekend and i'm already considering which wheel to go with. I like the chrome c6z spyder or was thinking about a c6z black deep dish and color matching the machined lip. Has anyone else painted the lips on this wheel? If so how did it work and do you have any pics?
Thanks
Chuck
considering painting the machined portion only of this wheel?
The problem with most aftermarket wheels is the offset is not correct for the C6 and the tires end up sticking outside the wheel wells.
An alternative is to widen your stock wheels. WeldCraft in MI added 1" to the inside of my front and rear wheels. This adds the total extra width to the inside of the wheel and keeps the tire tucked under the car well.
I also added 305/30-19 Michelin rear tires and 275/35-18 Michelin front tires. The combination fits and works well.

sounds cool...not planning on going any wider than the stock for now...i'll do a wide body when its time for the 11" or 12"...i cant stand the tires poking way past the fender...flush maybe 1/2" out is ok
