Default Silver C6 boring?

While looking for my first corvette, I've seen some good deals on silver corvettes (05-06)... is it just me, or do they look a little plain compared to the other colors?

Silver and white are my two favorite colors on the Vette! Love the Silver Vettes my self.

i've had lot's of black cars and trucks and love black but i'll never get another. this is the first silver i've ever owned and love it. other than washing it (it even looks good dirty) it's virtually no maintenance. i love the brighter colors but thought they would wear on me after a while. if it's attention you want a vette gets plenty. color doesn't make any difference.

That's something you'll have to decide for yourself. Maybe these will help:

We all like different things, including the color of car we drive. I vaguely recall reading that silver was one of the most popular car colors in recent years. Silver wouldn't be my choice for a Corvette but it's all good. Vive la différence!

Depends on your taste.
I personally have not found a C6 color that I do not like.

No offence but those two colors are my least favorite, having said that I have owned a C5 and a C6 silver Vette, they were a little boring but I bought nice wheels and tinted the windows and that brought out the silver nicely.
As for White....NEVER!!

When looking for my 2010, production had ceased, so had to shop. My first color choice was Blade Silver. No offense to previous silver owners, like them, but thought the Blade Silver had more pop. Couldn't find one with my options, so ended up towards the other end of the spectrum.

Even before Blade Silver, always thought about any silver with a red interior... Didn't end up with one, but wouldn't have been unhappy if I did.

Silver is cool!!

My two favorite C6 colors are lemans blue and Machine Silver. I have owned one of both! But i agree, you need to "spike it up" a little. here's mine.

Silver, grey, vettes are boring colors for a sports car.

Silver is the primer color waiting for the paint job.

Just look at the cars on the road, Silver, White, Black.
If your gonna have a flashy car, get a sharp color for it

Here is something a little different for a Machine silver Vette!

If you're buying a used C6, the color should not be the determining factor when there are so many other considerations of much greater importance.

If you are fortunate enough to find the right car and your ideal color, consider yourself lucky.

I have to be honest here when I first got my machine Silver I was not sold on the color but I got such a good deal I went ahead and got it. After having it for a few weeks it grew on me but after I saw the way it reflects light in certain light conditions I was hooked. In the sun it shines like a mirror and under a light at night it is another sight to see. Here is some examples of my Machine Silver under different lighting and or under the sun.

I would hardly call my silver '05 plain or boring

This is just my personal opinion... but I think silver doesn't show well in pictures on the internet. You have to see it in person when the sun is reflecting off of it

I'm with you.

Even the ones I don't like, I still like on the C6.
