Seems that whenever I wash the vette in the evening, as I am drying it lots of bugs land on it and just sit there. No particular bug, just a bunch of random ones. I've never noticed this on my truck or the wifes car, but it seems that there are always bugs gathering on the vette.

Yes, the bugs love yellow. Guess they think it is a flower and they come looking for pollen.
Looking at the windshield and front end of my white Ford Explorer after my drive from Pittsburgh to Indianpolis today, I'd say bugs like white cars too.
Yellow is a color that nature uses to attract bugs. Yellow flowers & pollen attract bugs.
As far as them getting splattered on the car while driving. I noticed the C6 with its aerodynamics actually keeps a lot of bugs off the car. My DD gets bug splatters everywhere on the front bumper, the C6, probably a 1/3 of that.
i remember when I had a yellow jeep wrangler,and would park it under a light in the parking lot where I worked. WHen I came out, it would be covered with live bugs, they loved the color.
