Default Do bugs like yellow?

And I don't means the ones that love it so much they give up there life on my front end.

Seems that whenever I wash the vette in the evening, as I am drying it lots of bugs land on it and just sit there. No particular bug, just a bunch of random ones. I've never noticed this on my truck or the wifes car, but it seems that there are always bugs gathering on the vette.

What gives?

Yes, the bugs love yellow. Guess they think it is a flower and they come looking for pollen.

Hmmm...yellow lights are used where you don't want bugs but that is a different frequency than your car's color....

I know that certain waxes, sealant and detail sprays attract bugs. They seem to love Z8! Smells like tangerines!

When I first got mine, there seemed to have been more. Guess the brilliance of the shine keeps them away now.

Looking at the windshield and front end of my white Ford Explorer after my drive from Pittsburgh to Indianpolis today, I'd say bugs like white cars too.

Yes, the various bugs love to land on the vehicle. Why, I don't know.

Yep, from little flies and bugs to big wasp and even bees love to just sit down on the car.

But, when any bug, no matter what color, is squashed on the nose, they all seem to be black.

Yellow is a color that nature uses to attract bugs. Yellow flowers & pollen attract bugs.

As far as them getting splattered on the car while driving. I noticed the C6 with its aerodynamics actually keeps a lot of bugs off the car. My DD gets bug splatters everywhere on the front bumper, the C6, probably a 1/3 of that.

Yes, I don't know what it is either. Perhaps a scientist can chime in and give us some sort of explination.

i remember when I had a yellow jeep wrangler, and would park it under a light in the parking lot where I worked. WHen I came out, it would be covered with live bugs, they loved the color.

Yellow is an insect attractant. Get a yellow bag put it down in the grass and you will see.
