****New Carbon Fiber Mirror Covers****
#25
why is it so hard to see a closeup of the fit from the mirror side? I am guessing you don't want to show the poor fit, I assume you see the cf lip and the paint from the mirror and on white, silver or any light color that would look bad. Why do vendors post products that don't do what they are suspose to

They cover up all the painted part.
I'll post some C6 pics as soon as they are finished.

I will get some pics asap. Steve Miller will probably have his on shortly and will post up before I can. These are selling well and we are getting them out asap. I will try to snag a set before they get shipped and run over to the dealer to snap a few pics.

OK, here's the deal. I like the mirror overlays. We here on the Forum expect perfection. It's our sickness I'm trying to recover from that disease
The overlays aren't perfect. I'd call them 95%. Yes, you CAN see the lip of the mirror. Other then that the fit is nice and the install is easy. I don't make these things but I would guess that it's quite difficult making the curves. SO, my thought is: Do I want to spend 2K+ and replace the mirrors or do I want to spend less then 1/10th of that money for the overlays. For me it's a no brainer. If your car is a dark color, obviously and especially black these overlays become perfect.
Everyone has to decide for themselves. Remember, the general public is ignorant. You'll be the only person out there who knows what they are. Nobody scrutinizes like we do! I give them a 9.5 outta 10.
I've been trying to post pics for the last 10 minutes and finally realized why I can't. There's a filtered word in the url of the photos consequently the forum filters put ***** in the place of that word.
Just go to my website <stevestoys.net> click on the first vette pic with the hoodliner to open the album, then scroll to the bottom and to page two. You can see the mirrors there. Sorry bout that.

"Here ya go.....
They cover up all the painted part.
I'll post some C6 pics as soon as they are finished." OP
I don't know about anyone else, but that sure doesn't look like it covers up "all the painted part." And that isn't just something a fanatic would or would not see, imo.

Umfortunately you guys were right. Stared at them a bunch last night. I REALLY wanted to like these, and get over the negatives with the fit. I can't. Took 'em off this morning
