Hi Norm,

The splitter for using two devices on the OBD-II port at the same time will be available next week. The price of the splitter will be $15.

Thanks,

I have a $1200 Passport in my Viper (built in) and a Valentine for my vette and I'll take the Valentine ANY day over ANY Passport. I nominate that post as the biggest BS post of the year...

This needs to be redone. Way too tiny. Way too low resolution. Prints very poor. Can't see it. Tried it on two different printers.

The PDF is a 5 megabyte full resolution file. We just downloaded and tested the file on the website. We were able to print in full size and full resolution without an issue.

You are welcome to contact us if you would like to discuss how to address the issue you might be having.

When printed the photos/text is tiny in the middle of the paper. I can read it, but it's not large enough to be of any help. I've printed it 3 times now on 2 different computers/printers. I give up.

I'll get it installed, no problem. It's just always helpful to see how other guys do it.

Default Arrived and Installed!!!

This is so cool it is beyond words! The V1 lights are off and everything except the noise is on the HUD. The install took about 15 minutes, given that I had already run the phone cord through the trim. There is excess cable of both kinds and you will need some cable ties to neaten up and secure the cables up next to the RP. Once you do that, taking out the RP is moot as it is covered by coiled cable.
The only thing I have not figured out is how I will secure the OBD plug when I have to disconnect it to take the car in for its annual State inspection.
Great product Dashtronix!!!

Larry,

Thank you very much for your feedback!

We are very happy to hear that you are enjoying your Radar Projector.

We will include a couple of small black cable ties in each kit moving forward to help tidy up the cables during the install.

Thanks again for the great post.

Would this work with the HUD on a 2009 Cadillac STS-V?

Awesome product...one of the best innovations I have seen in a long while. Having read through this thread and looked at your web site it seems this product was designed carefully and thoughtfully. Things I particularly like are
  • V1 display is dark...great for night driving
  • Navigation directions still work but are superseded by V1 alerts
  • Simple installation
Great job! I hope you have tremendous success with this product.

Any chance of developing something similar to display the V1 info on the DIC display instead? I never use "Street" mode on the HUD and displaying on the DIC would open your product to all Corvette V1 users. Another nice "feature" would be to able to "mute" the V1 by pressing the DIC "Reset" button.
