Default 2011 Headrests?

The latest headrest design looks a little more square and bulky, but the rest of the seat appears unchanged. Has the headrest been redesigned for better protection, or is this just a styling move?

They told me at the C5/C6 Bash at the NCM that they had to redesign the headrest to meet a new regulation? It seems to be slightly thicker then the years before...

It may be more functional but it's not an improvement in the looks dept.

They seem more substantial (thicker/firmer) and have more of a forward angle so you can actually rest your head on the headrest (crazy, huh?) now while driving. It looks better IMO and the extra contrasting stitching just makes the interior that little bit nicer

Believe the new regulation required head rests to lean more forward. I noticed on a few new 2010 cars that the head rests all tilt more toward the front (some are rather uncomfortable).

As for the C6, new ones would seem to do a better job, I know my head is no where near the back of the head rest. But then again, at my height, my head is above the top of the seats and if I sit all the way back, or if I ever get in an accident, I'll hit the interior part of the halo with the back of my head. I think the seats should have been taller. But I try to avoid accidents, so not an issue.

Does anyone know if solid ebony seats(not two tone) are available with the red stiching and C-6 flags on the headrests?

So I read here a couple post down abotu someone buying seat skins from Parts Taxi,, could one theoretically buy the 2011 seat skins and then put them on the current style seat?

Looks like just extra padding... Wish they made them wtih yellow contrasting stiching..

That's what I'm thinking.
I like the look of the new headrests.

Yes, it tilts forward a little more....so in front collision it catches your head a bit sooner. That was the only change....I liked it myself.....fro taller guys it seems to have greater effect.
