Wolfdogs will have the answer for you.

Everything you need to get started should be in the Ultimate Kit. I also us the Z8 and the Zaino All in One.

The Z AIO is what I use when I first start a car that has never had Zaino on it before and also on the company car.

Nothing complicated about it at all. Many users overthink this process
1) Clean the car of all and any wax/polish that is on it now. A good cleaning with a heavy concentrated bucket of water and Dawn liquid detergant
2) Clay bar every surface to start with a nice clean-as-can-be surface
3) Apply Z2 or Z5, which ever you prefer.
4) Wipe off after it dries
5) Spray Z6 and polish/buff to a great deep shine
6) Repeat steps 3-4-5 over and over and over as long as you own the car...

In spring I bought the Zkit-1 for $84.70. I'd recommend getting this. This got me started and was enough to do my two cars and one truck multiple times over the spring/summer/ fall. Next year I plan on trying out more products.

Between the forum instructions and what comes with the product, after doing it once it all makes sense and is very user friendly. And the results are great!

Your Z2 or Z5 (use either one) is what you are using instead of your contemporary wax. No more wax on your Corvette just Zaino polymer based polish now...

And yes, it's a good idea to wash again after the clay barring

Use any car wash. If you really want to stick with Zaino Car Wash, it is Z7

The Steps 3, 4, 5 & 6 can be repeated over and over. The shine just keeps getting deeper as you layer the Zaino polish. THAT is why I like Zaino. You can keep on layering it. Common sense will tell you of course to ALWAYS start the 3,4,5,6 sequence with a clean surface....

So when you buff/polish do you use a machine polisher, like a Porter Cable?

I've got a long winter ahead and I plan to REALLY clean and shine, but I can't decide between Zaino and Adam's Polishes. Zaino seems pretty straightforward and all say gives excellent results. Adam's is supposed to be very good, too, but it also appears to be able to cover everything from shine, to repair, to glass, to interior...

I'm just confused...

The first time I used Zaino I went the whole route following their instructions and people here....I washed, then clay bar and then polished with the Zaino using a PC buffer....If you do this use good lights to get all the minimal scratches and marks out....I have then been using Zaino's polymers since, and in between use the all in one and the Z8.. It is worth the effort and you won't regret it.

Everyone left out one of the most important items…. Time! Time to complete all the steps, and then time to sit back and admire the shine.
The good news is I found after investing the above time, it then takes less time to keep it up. I have found washing and cleaning up the car is a lot easier with Zanio on the car.

My process:

Before using Zanio for the first time I washed with Dawn to remove old wax and cleaned the paint with a clay bar.

Week 1:

Wash car with Z-7 car wash.

Mix 1oz of Z-5 PRO with 4 drops of CFX in one of the bottles that comes with the CFX. The CFX cures the Zaino very quickly and allows you to apply up to 3 coats in a row.

Spray car down with Z-6

Apply a thin coat of the Z-5 PRO/CFX to the entire car. You should use about 1/3oz per coat. By the time I'm done working my way around to where I started, the first panel is dry.

Wipe down car with microfiber towel.

Spray car down with Z-6

Repeat 2 more times.

Takes me about 3 1/2 hours (includes the hour it takes me to wash and dry the car)

Week 2:

Same as week 1 except I use Z-2 PRO

Some caveats/opinions:

For people that only like to detail once every 6 months or so, get the Z-AIO. It is a true polish, which means that it cleans and removes surface contaminates. It also means that it removes waxes and sealents, so it cannot be layered. One coat and your done.

If you are only going to apply one coat of Z-5 or Z-2 in a 24 hour period, you do not need ZFX.

You do not need the custom polish applicator. I find that it soaks up a lot of product. I like to use a folded up microfiber cloth.

Cleaning the 2oz bottle that comes with the ZFX is a lot easier with alcohol. That being said, the bottle will still look cloudy when it drys and that's ok.

I only use the Z-7 car wash on days when I am applying Zaino. On other days I use regular car wash.
