Default Possible switch from NPP to Bullets

Hey guys, I'm toying around with the idea of swapping out my NPPs to a louder exhaust on my ls2. I was looking at bullets, GHL street, or SLP LM II, curious as to the sound difference between the three. Are they all around the same volume and louder then NPP? How much do you guys think I could get for a set of 2008 NPP's with M2W? Thanks, Kevin

bullets are awesome for about 30 minutes.. then you want to pull out your hair because of the drone.

I have no personal experience with the others.

If you want a louder exhaust i would recommend just getting a set of headers it will really wake up the sound and give you an extra 30whp (with tune).

You should be able to get $800+ for a set of 2008 NPPs.

I'm not so worried about the drone, before i got NPPs everyone here said the drone was terrible with the valves open, once I installed them I couldnt identify any drone at all. Im pretty young, (early 20's) so I may not be quite as sensitive to it, but I know how bad it is with straight pipes (had them on my C5).

I would love to do headers, I was just trying to avoid the $$ for a catted version + tune. That would definitely be my first choice though!

Don't do Bullets. The drone will drive you nuts.

What about the LM II's or GHL race? Any experience with those? Looks like a little bit more of a muffler on it, curious as to whether or not its louder then the NPP?

Got headers? If not, get em. You will not complain about the NPP volume again. Not to mention a nice increase in hp/tq.

If you want loud, then get the Bullets.

Heres a car with headers, NPP. It sounds just like my car at WOT(minus cam lope). As far as concerned, it doesnt get any better than that.

I love the NPP exhaust. Nice and quiet until you stomp on it and sounds really sweet in the upper rpm ranges. When I was a kid my small block C-2 had aftermarket headers/side pipes and the drone was a bit much after awhile.

Holy sh** does it seriously sound like that with longtubes? That sounds like a freaking animal. Does brand matter? I was looking at the OBX catted/uncatted version on ebay, that sounds like a massive volume difference. Does the cam make the car louder or no?

I've owned all three.

with the post above. The Bullets are obnoxious. Just my opinion, no flame throwing please!

The NPP's are a nice option, and when open give you a step up from the base exhaust. Not that impressive.

Right now I'm running a set of SLP loudmouth II's and they sound great. Perfect compromise and they're really well priced. More agressive then the NPP,and Corsa Sports but less agressive then the BB's. I'm very satisfied with them

If you are thinking about Bullets, then adding headers down the road, I would strongly advise riding in a car that has that setup. It is extremely loud. I mean like you take off and everyone for 4 blocks stops and looks loud.

I am actually starting to get tired of it, and I may change my exhaust down the road.

I went from NPP to Fusion and have no regrets. I get stock quiet with no drone when the wife wants to "talk" and bullet sound when she is not around.

Just get the bullets, if you don't like em, someone will buy them.

Easier to get rid of than the NPPs. A ton were laying around at Carlisle

I just put BB Fusions on my '10 GS today. MUCH louder than the NPP I took off.

The drone at 1500 rpms is almost unbearable! (just like bullets) Switch M2W to quiet mode and it's an easy (quiet) fix.

In town, open all the time. Hiway, open above 70 mph. I push the "closed" switch if my cell phone rings!!!
