I have a '10 GS 6 spd MANUAL. I have set the memory seat Position 1 to my liking including the Easy Exit feature and I use the Key fob #1. When I get in the car must I push Seat position 1 every time I want it to return to my particular liking? After driving the car AND with the emergency brake set when I open the door the Easy Exit works, but when I get back into the vehicle the seat stays back unless (again with the emergency brake set) I press Seat Position #1.
Is this the way it works?
I would have thought the car 'knows' I want it set to Position 1 because I am activating the ignition with key fob #1.
So the E-brake has to be set for the easy exit to work? Is this the same on an 05? My easy exit setting doesn't work and I thought I had programmed it wrong but I never use the E-brake.

Yes, the E-Brake has to be set for it to work and it is the same for the 05.

It's not a good idea to have the car guessing what you want combined with guessing when you want it. This is especially true if you have two drivers with very different settings. My wife is 5' 2" and sits way forward. I sit way back. If we had your method in place and I got into her car with her fob and hit the ignition, my experience would be similar to that of Han and Luke in the death star's trash compactor.
Better to have the driver say "I'm ready, do it now."
Remember, they have to design these things to handle (near) the dumbest common denominator.
