I read sometime ago that there is a GM software upgrade for the A6. Anyone done it and have comments? I am hoping for quicker response from the paddles. I know that the real differance comes after Chuck does the whole tune, but I'm not ready to do that yet.
Thanks

Reason: My car is an 08.
What year car are you talking about? I checked with my dealer, and my 08 has the latest calibration file available installed and there were no updates.
The 2010 cars got a lot of changes made to the tranmission calibration and I think the TCM itself was also changed. But I understand it isn't backward compatible with previous model cars due to changes in the TCM.

FYI, I tried Chucks tune and found it to be too aggressive for my tastes.
My 2006 was the very first Corvette A6 that Chuck tuned. He developed his tune on an Escalade. 2 years later, after the 2008s came out with the reprogrammed A6, Chuck (at no charge!) upgraded my 06 calibrations to GM 08 and then retuned that. Hated the A6 before Chuck put his magic in my car...all it wanted to do was get in 6th gear as fast as it could and stay there....not a lot of fun on the back roads. Crisper, higher shift points, and staying in the gear you need totally transformed the car. With his upgrade and reprogramming of the 08 calibrations, it's even bette. I've never found his tune to be too aggressive. I would see Chuck ASAP!
