If you are not going 325 or wider in the rear the Z51 bars are the best for the street in my humble opinion, ran C6Z bars on my C5 and on our base C6 Coupe I put the Z51 bars on with 295 tires on the rear

Z51 sway bars will be just fine. I have a 2010 coupe with F55. I added the Z51 and they help control body roll in the corners a lot.

z51 bars are the way togo. The z06 bars are a bit longer and have a tendency to touch the rim under hard cornering, YOU DONT WANT THAT lol

I've never heard that but FWIW...I've used various sway bars in combination with different types and sizes of wheels/tires both on the street and the track. I never encountered any problems using the Z06 sway bars. That said I tend to agree with peter pan (I never thought I'd say that )...the Z51 sway bars are better match with the OEM wheel/tire sizes. If you have or plan on going to wider wheels/tires, IMO go with the Z06 sway bars.

Thanks, and I have used both bars on different setups and for our street Vette the Z51 bars are perfect, on my deceased trackable Vette the Z06 bars were perfect

I'll second that, and with less body roll and steering play on straight aways. I have a 06 A6 F55, I have also widened with forged wheels in both front and back by 1" (to 9.5" and 11").

Yes, the C6 Z51 bars are best for the stock suspension. If you're also running the stock suspension I would suggest the C6 Z06 shocks as well.

I put Z51 sway bars and C6 Z06 shocks on my 2005 base model C6 and am very pleased with the results. Much better handling but not at all harsh.

Z51 sway bars will make an improvement with the F55 suspension. I swapped out the stock bars with a Z51 to include poly bushings - it removed a lot of the "float"

Default One disadvantage in "Tour" mode on F55!

No doubt the Z51 sway bars make a big improvement on the F55, the biggest problem I have noticed is the reduced spring rate in the front of 106 lb's (Note: the rear is 12 lb's lighter on Z51) which if you are trail braking in a turn in "Tour" mode, the front end will definitely nose dive, so really must be in "Sport" mode to help eliminate this tendency. Of course, you wouldn'd want to change out front spring because of F55 computer program which is tailored to them. This is where it would be interesting to see the ZR1 numbers, spring rates and sway bar sizes, just for comparsion. Maybe change out the F55 computer (hopefully, the "squat" on ZR1 is just a computer program to sense the WOT for "squat") with springs and sways, really have a "Baby ZR1". The Z51 pretty well eliminates the body roll which eliminates alot of the play in steering wheel back and forth play. Now the car seems to go where you point it with this decreased back and forth play. There was talk, I believe, in the 2007 model that GM did change out some sways but reverted back to the "base" setup sways.

I tend to leave it in "Sport" mode as the roads in Northern Va are in pretty good shape (construction not with standing). The float used to be most pronounced when you go over undulating surfaces at speed, it is pretty much gone now. I wish there was bit more feel like in a BMW - but that and the seats are my only gripes (it is truly a great car overall). I am considering a Z06 in a year or two, I wonder if they have a tighter feel.
